This venue in North Wales once played host to the Beatles who were visiting Maharishi Yogi, a guru in Transcendental Meditation – a form of silent meditation – who had invited them to his conference in the Gwynedd city.
The venue now has undergone significant transformation and provides gold standard hotel accommodation, residential training, conference events and includes an exclusive restaurant, bar and café on site.
Asset Plus were initially commissioned by the venue owners to undertake some initial analysis on the energy consumption across the venue and to identify areas for improvement. They were impressed with the analysis and the recommendations made and subsequently employed Asset Plus to deliver upon these recommendations through an energy performance contract.
The final installation included a complete overhaul of the existing lighting and controls along with pump and chiller upgrades and insulation improvements which resulted in a 25% energy saving and an annual financial saving of over 30%. Careful planning of the installation with the venues management team was essential to avoid any disruption to guests and to maintain their high customer satisfaction levels.
