Asset+ is delighted to have been selected by the London Borough of Newham as their decarbonisation  partner through the Re:Fit Framework. The programme is initially focused on Newham Councils Dockside offices where the current energy spend will be reduced by £220,000 per annum through a mix of heat decarbonisation, decentralised renewable energy generation and energy efficiency measures.

The Council has committed to become carbon neutral by 2030 and carbon zero by 2050 and Asset Plus will be working closely with Newham’s energy team to identify opportunities and propose technologies across their significant property portfolio that will accelerate this ambition.

This award shows real action behind the Councils declaration of a climate emergency and their objectives of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 while reaping the economic rewards of a clean growth revolution, while eliminating health and social inequalities and the costs associated with them.

“We are pleased to have such an experienced partner on board to assist us in meeting our carbon reduction goals and we are impressed by their approach and the time taken to understand our objectives during the bidding process. We are very much looking forward to working with Asset Plus over the coming years.”
