Heat Pumps

Heat pumps extract heat from a source such as the ground, ambient air or water. This heat can then be used to heat water, homes and commercial premises. Used in reverse the system can also provide cooling, making heat pumps an ideal system for use in all seasons.

The heat that the pumps extract from the ground, air, or water is constantly being renewed naturally and therefore they provide a highly efficient solution. Compared to conventional heating systems, heat pumps can provide savings of up to 30% on fuel bills and carbon emissions.

Since the introduction of Government’s incentive schemes, such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), the installation of renewable technologies that provide heating and hot water has become
financially more rewarding.
